Tamarack

Tamarack is a cluster of golf course subdivisions in unincorporated Wheatland Township, Will County, near 111th Street and Route 59 at Naperville's southwest edge. Tamarack Fairways developed first, in the 1990s, around the Tamarack Golf Club. Tamarack West followed in the early 2000s, with Tamarack South built later by K. Hovnanian Homes into the mid-2010s.

The golf course shapes the area's identity, and many Tamarack Fairways homes back directly onto the fairways on lots that approach an acre. Tamarack West and Tamarack South added larger two-story homes in the traditional styles of their building eras. Across all three subdivisions, generous lots and golf course frontage set Tamarack apart from the tightly platted neighborhoods closer to the city center.

Route 59 and 111th Street put everyday shopping and dining within easy reach, drawing from both the Naperville and Plainfield sides of the area. Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve lies a short drive to the north, with I-88 beyond it for regional access. Downtown Naperville and its BNSF Metra station remain accessible from Tamarack's quiet, golf course setting at the southwest edge of the city.
