Buttonwood is an established neighborhood on the west side of Naperville, set off River Road in DuPage County. It took shape in the early-to-mid 1980s, and today it reads as a settled residential pocket of detached single-family homes on curving, sidewalk-lined streets.

Buttonwood Park sits at the center of the neighborhood, with open green space woven into the surrounding streets. Curbs, sidewalks, and street lighting run throughout, and mature trees frame the homes that ring Buttonwood Circle.
